Modern trends transformed in to packaging

The team at Fujifilm initially reached out to us three years ago to design new product packaging for the Instax instant camera range. We are proud to say that we have been happily working together ever since and they have just launched our latest designs for the Instax bundles in-stores at Myer, Harvey Norman, Target, JB Hi-Fi and Big W. 

The brief challenge for the Instax bundles is to create unique designs for each retailer, ensuring it appeals to each specific target market whilst maintaing the strong connecting brand identity. Each of the bundles share a similar pastel inspired colour palette and showcase a variety of tropical, summer & geometrical illustrations, all drawn in-house by the Zeus design team.

“THE MODERN CREATIVE”

The Myer design features an illustration of a girl who is busy daydreaming and thinking outside the box. Her long, flowing hair and pops of tropical monstera leaves make this design fun and inspiring to those natural born creatives. The Myer Instax design also has an added bonus, a picture of glasses that you can cut out and use as a prop in your photos. 

Along with design, we also capture the product photography for each of the major retailers. These images span across each of the Marketing touchpoints, including brochures, EDM, e-commerce, social media, in-store promotion and TVC imagery. 

Working on the packaging design and photography for such a creative & progressive brand is a highlight of our yearly portfolio. 

“TRENDY TROPICALS”

Target attracts a group, we like to call ‘the modern parent’. They’re on the look out for a trendy and vast range of items at affordable prices. The design on the Target Instax bundles are to represent a scene from a vibrant and fun, Summer pool party with illustrations of inflatable toys, tropical palms/greenery and brightly coloured prints. 

“FOODIE FLAT-LAY”

The design for the Instax Bundle is inspired by a food flat-lay, that are emerging all over Instagram on the daily. On examining the design, you can see a pair of sunglasses, a donut and cup of coffee. To assist in making these items pop, we added in the fun polka dot print.  

“DYNAMIC INSPIRATION”

The Instax Bundle design for JB Hi-Fi is a combination of dynamic hand drawn prints and bold colour palette, created to ignite inspiration to the photographer whilst having a strong shelf presence in a crowded retail environment.

“SNAP-HAPPY EXPLORER”

The Instax bundles were transformed into Instax backpacks for Big W. Instead of placing a bag in a box we created a sleeve to wrap around the backpack, cutting down on paper wastage and allowing the consumer to feel the quality of the backpack.
Each of the different sleeve designs feature a different landscape shot of the outdoors, encouraging the consumer to get snap-happy with Mother Nature.
